The King of Pop returned to the music scene on September 7th to show the world he's still "got it." Along with an all-star line up, Michael Jackson moonwalked his way into a guaranteed the "return of the century" title.

Opening the show (about an hour late), with "Wanna Be Starting Something," Mya and Usher put a teen-pop twist on one of Michael's most celebrated songs. Joining them were about 24 dancers, in what appeared to be cavemen-like outfits. Most people found Mya's vocals a bit hard to hear due to the poor sound system. But when Whitney Houston stepped onto the stage to belt out the remainder of the song, all hearing woes were forgotten.

Marlon Brando joined the show with inaudible ramblings about kids that had been hacked to death. That, along with a weird rendition of The Wiz, was definitely the low-point of the show.

Luckily, Brando was quickly forgotten about when superstar Marc Anthony took the stage to sing an empowering "She's Out Of My Life." Others who sang a tribute to Michael included Destiny's Child, Liza Minelli, Jill Scott, Shaggy, and Ray Charles.

Later in the show, The Jackson Five performed for the first time in about 20 years. It was truly an honor to witness five of the music world's revolutionaries singing some of the classics. "I want you back" and "ABC" were among the best acts of the night, but the audience was really whooping and hollering as 'Nsync joined The Jacksons for a cameo appearance lasting about a minute.

The show was an instant smash hit, but all the performances were put to shame when Michael took center stage himself. He brought onto the stage a suitcase, containing his legendary gloves and jacket. He followed this dramatic, on-stage costume change with such renowned songs as "Beat It," "Billie Jean," and "The Way You Make Me Feel."(Performed with a beautifully dressed Britney Spears.)

The concert came to a close at about 12:25 with a star-studded finale of "We Are The World." With ticket prices ranging from 45 to 2,500 dollars, the crowd was in search of a concert of a lifetime. They got it!
